I arrived in Graham Street on a Sunday afternoon, and for the next week everything worked out perfectly. The apartment is one of those rare cases in which reality beats the images that made me choose the place on the Internet. The property is spotless, well maintained and spacious, and the owner provides a very good customer service. The view of the canal from the little balcony of the living room is mesmerizing at night and just beautiful during the day. The whole area has been rejuvenated and amazing buildings are being built around the water without ruining the peaceful feeling of being in a London I did not know. On the map, the Angel tube station looks boringly distant, but a walk from the apartment to the station, along the Regent's Canal, is thoroughly enjoyable.

The Northern Line crosses London from North to South, climbing on a train in Angel and getting off at Waterloo it takes about half to sit down and have lunch at Anchor & Hope (recommended). And buses on City Road take you close to almost every worthwhile sight-seeing spot in London. In Islington, my favorite restaurants are Ottolenghi (Upper Street) and Sabor (Essex Street). If you are in a hurry, try one of the excellent Mexican burritos at Chilango (Upper Street), before going tho Everyman Screen of the Green movie theater. If you care for the unusual, take a bus and visit the Wellcome Collection (Euston Street). Yes, I definitely would (and will) recommend a stay in 12 Graham Street to friends and relatives. Have a good day, Giorgina

We chose this apartment because of its location near City Universtiy and we liked the look of it from the photos. We were delighted with our choice. The apartment was spacious, spotless and a pleasure to stay in. The owner has spared no expense in equipping it -- from a kitchen with every pot and utensil you could need, top quality everything, thick luxurious towels and nice touches such as full bars of soap, extra toilet paper and basic cooking supplies. The wall facing the canal is all glass so there's lots of light and a nice view of the water but with no buildings close by, there's also a feeling of privacy. Never heard any noise from any of the neighbors. Graham, who met us and gave us all the necessary explanations, was very pleasant and told us to call anytime we needed anything. There's a bus stop less than 5 minutes away and the Angel underground station either 2 bus stops or about 10 minutes by foot. I would definitely recommend it.

I booked the flat for my family to visit me from Paris over Christmas and we had an excellent time. The flat is very clean, spacious, bright, fully equipped with top quality items; the bedrooms and bathrooms are also spacious, modern and clean. Cosy and homey flat.
Overall great experience, very good for friends or family gatherings, in the heart of Islington and close to shops, bars/restaurants and the tube.
I would definitely book there again should visitors come to London in 2011.

I have a few housekeeping details. I first wanted to thank you for the mid week clean-up. I did not know it was scheduled, but it was a nice surprise to come home to on Monday. I apologize for the mess in my nieces' room; their teenage habits of dropping anything on the floor must have made it hard to pick up. I trust you found the second set of keys; I had both of them on the table and then in the last minute rush one pair got moved. Let me know if you don't have them.

We used the phone for 3 brief local calls; let me know how much they are when the bill comes in. My three nieces used it fairly often to call California and talk to their parents; I used an MCI calling card. I am assuming there won't be local charges for this, but please let me know if I owe you local charges for these calls.Thank you again for all of your kind help and your lovely flat.
Warmly, Julie L.

Dear Nick, Thanks again for your accommodations. The place was great. And I hope to see you next year sometime. There were some minutes on the telephone and
I assume you will bill those to my credit card.
Regards, John C.
